At Eco-justice Ethiopia, we believe that climate action starts at home. While we continue to advocate for climate justice on the global stage, we're also committed to building local capacity to address climate challenges.
Last week, we partnered with the Addis Ababa City Administration Environmental Protection Authority to deliver a training workshop on Administrative Law and Public Interest Litigation (PIL) for Climate Protection. This training equipped participants with the knowledge and tools to effectively use legal mechanisms to protect the environment and promote sustainable development. On the event Dr. Mulugeta Mengist Ayalew led the morning session where he delivered how the current administrative law of Ethiopia ought to be utilized in the environmental protection work in an engaging manner. In the afternoon, the discussion on PIL was led by Eskedar Awgichew. Finally, Ato Lemesa Gudeta - Pollution Directorate Director at Addis Ababa City administration EPA moderated a lively discussion.
Together, we can build a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
